Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is transmitted to the outside provider that operates the tool. That provider processes the query and supplies its results. Henderson County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server may receive routine technical information about that visit:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device category and operating system
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Your browser type and version
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The internet protocol address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers help combine that activity into site-level measurements. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Finding and correcting performance or technical faults
- Operating the website and maintaining reasonable load times
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
- Measuring which resources visitors use most
- Passing a submitted query to the selected search provider
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Henderson County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its editorial material identifies records held by Henderson County clerks, the Sheriff, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a file about another person or into a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools. Their own privacy terms, retention rules, and disclosure practices apply to information entered there. Those choices are outside our control, so review the provider's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Henderson County offices, court portals, Texas agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal data.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search providers that process a query submitted to their tool
- Advertising networks that serve material on the pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed secure, so those measures cannot eliminate every risk of unauthorized access.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A verified report that a minor supplied data will be handled by removing that information.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide qualifying Texas consumers with rights concerning personal data. Subject to the law's scope and exceptions, a person may:
- Confirm whether personal data is being processed and obtain access where required
- Request deletion of qualifying personal data
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Opt out of processing covered by the statute
