Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of Henderson County Criminal History. Accessing the website means that you accept all terms stated below. Do not continue using it if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. Henderson County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It is neither a private-investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency. This website and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify criminal-record resources in Henderson County, Texas.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no connection to a government office. It does not store official records, file papers, retrieve a person's record, or conduct an official background check.

The content identifies Henderson County clerks, the Sheriff, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry as appropriate official sources. Public release still depends on the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, and criminal-history dissemination rules including Government Code §411.135. Some pages also connect visitors to separately operated search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Use automated scrapers, robots, or similar extraction tools against the pages
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass any person using information obtained here
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the system
  • Violate a local, Texas, or federal law
  • Use the content for an employment, housing, lending, or insurance decision
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another visitor from using the service

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or discriminate against someone. Misuse may also violate criminal law. Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information exists for public-safety awareness. Chapter 62 does not authorize vigilantism or adverse employment and housing action against a registrant.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Henderson County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer, credit, or background reports. Neither the website nor its advertising partners supply a product designed to judge credit, set insurance rates, review a rental application, or screen a job applicant. You may not use information from the website or a linked tool to:

  • Make any other decision governed by the FCRA
  • Determine access to a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Approve or reject a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Assess creditworthiness or establish an insurance premium

A legally permissible check for one of those purposes must come from Texas DPS when its official process applies or from a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

General explanations of Henderson County records are not legal advice. Only a licensed Texas attorney can advise how a charge, warrant, conviction, nondisclosure rule, or expunction law applies to a specific set of facts.

6. No Warranties

The website and all content are supplied "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • An outside search provider's result is complete or accurate
  • The information is current, complete, or error-free
  • Access will remain uninterrupted
  • The pages contain no bug, error, or security weakness

Charges, dispositions, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders can change what an official system shows. Delays and gaps can occur. Content here is never an official statement by a Texas agency, Henderson County court, or sheriff.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

A link may lead to a sheriff, court, Texas agency, legal resource, or outside search service. The destination controls its own fees, content, availability, and data practices. We accept no responsibility for those third-party operations, and visitors should review the destination's terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, code, logos, and graphics belong to Henderson County Criminal History or the applicable content partner. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, or distributing protected material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the website, its content, or an outside service reached through a link.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any action related to use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These conditions may be revised. An updated version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended, restricted, or ended at any time without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be limited only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions
